A 203 mm (8 in) hardwood modelling tool. A flat blade with a long, shallow angled cut that gives a knife-like point; the other end is rounded. WT4 is the same blade with a shorter, steeper cut. Wood does not mark clay the way steel does, which is the reason to own one.
WT6 is a 203 mm (8 in) tool from Kemper's WT Wood Modeling range. A flat blade with a long, shallow angled cut that gives a knife-like point; the other end is rounded. WT4 is the same blade with a shorter, steeper cut. The handles are smoothly finished hardwood and the range runs to a couple of dozen profiles. Wood is the point: it slides on damp clay instead of cutting into it, so it shapes and burnishes where a steel tool would leave a line.
