WT4 is a 203 mm (8 in) tool from Kemper's WT Wood Modeling range. A flat blade, one end cut at a steep angle to a chisel point, the other rounded and blunt. The handles are smoothly finished hardwood and the range runs to a couple of dozen profiles. Wood is the point: it slides on damp clay instead of cutting into it, so it shapes and burnishes where a steel tool would leave a line.
