Stainless frame, polymer grip · Curly wire - leaves a rippled cut face · One-handed · For faceting and hand-building · Replacement wires available

A one-handed stainless bow with a curly wire strung across it, for faceting and cutting in hand-building. The coiled wire leaves a rippled cut face rather than a flat one.

The Carving Bow is the smaller relative of the Mudcutter: a stainless frame with a polymer grip and a wire strung across the opening, worked with one hand while the other steadies the piece. This one is strung with the curly wire, which is a decision about surface rather than convenience - a coiled wire leaves a rippled, faceted cut face where a straight wire leaves it flat. Sized for faceting a thrown form and for slicing slabs and blocks in hand-building. Wires are replaceable.
