Shape 5 is the largest of the kidneys, for covering surface quickly. Yellow is the soft grade.
The long curved edge suits the outside of a bowl or the sweep of a shoulder, where a smaller rib leaves a faceted result because each pass is short. It is a finishing size rather than a detail size, and it is the wrong tool for a tight interior. Yellow is the soft grade. It gives under hand pressure, so it smooths without cutting, and it will not hold a line if you lean on it. Polymer, so there is no metal edge to bruise the clay. Central hole for hanging.
