Shape 4 - pointed corner · Pointed corner for crisp lines · Two flat sides for compressing · Radiused edges for blending · Yellow = soft flexibility · Polymer, no sharp metal edge · Hanging hole

Shape 4 exists for sharp lines. Yellow is the soft grade.

One corner comes to a definite point, and run along a turning piece it will cut a crisp horizontal band rather than the soft groove a rounded rib leaves. Around from the point there are two flat sides for compressing and radiused edges for blending, so one tool handles the line work and the tidying up after it. Yellow is the soft grade. It gives under hand pressure, so it smooths without cutting, and it will not hold a line if you lean on it. Polymer, so there is no metal edge to bruise the clay. Central hole for hanging.
