Shape 1 is the middle kidney and the one most potters use most. Yellow is the soft grade.
It is big enough to cover ground on a wall or a slab and small enough to still get into a curve, which is why it turns up in the starter kits. If you are unsure which shape to order first, order this one and add the specialists later. Yellow is the soft grade. It gives under hand pressure, so it smooths without cutting, and it will not hold a line if you lean on it. Polymer, so there is no metal edge to bruise the clay. Central hole for hanging.
