A curved rib shaped for working an edge - rounding a rim, softening a foot, finishing the line where two surfaces meet. Red is the second-softest grade.
EDGY came out of potters asking for a rib that addressed edges specifically, and the curve is cut for exactly that: run it along a rim and it rounds the arris in one pass instead of the three or four it takes to chase a corner off with a kidney rib. It suits the junction where a foot meets a wall, and any line you want softened rather than removed. Red is the second-softest grade. It follows a curve rather than correcting one, which is what you want for burnishing and slip work and wrong for truing a wall. Polymer, so there is no metal edge to bruise the clay. Central hole for hanging.
