LT4 is the 12.7 mm (1/2 in) teardrop in Kemper's loop range. A loop tool cuts on the pull: the wire loop shears a shaving off the surface instead of ploughing through it, which is why it leaves a clean face on leather-hard clay where a blunt tool tears. The 12.7 mm (1/2 in) head sets how much you take per pass and how tight a curve you can follow - a smaller loop for detail and tight radii, a larger one for clearing ground quickly.
