K35 is Kemper's wire clay cutter. It does two unglamorous jobs constantly: slicing a manageable piece off a block of clay, and passing under a finished pot to free it from the wheel head. Both want a wire that stays taut and handles you can pull hard against without them cutting into your fingers.
