A hollow die is a die with a core held in the middle of it by a brace, so the clay extrudes as a tube rather than a solid rod. That changes what the extruder is for: hollow handles that are lighter and dry more evenly than solid ones, tube sections for spouts and legs, and box or ring profiles for hand-building - all at a fraction of the weight of the solid equivalent. Eight dies and the brace come in the pack. This is an accessory for the HEX-65 hand extruder, not a tool on its own. Frema is Friendly Manufacturers Corporation.
