F97 is the hard-bladed fettling knife. Its blade is a hard tempered steel with the springy feel of a conventional blade, holding its line under pressure. The blade is 102 mm (4 in), set firmly into a hardwood handle for 203 mm (8 in) overall. Kemper makes it for trimming pour hole waste, removing mould marks, and carving greenware.
