F96 is the soft-bladed fettling knife. Its blade is a soft steel with considerably more flex than a conventional blade, so it bends to a curve rather than holding a straight line. The blade is 102 mm (4 in), set firmly into a hardwood handle for 203 mm (8 in) overall. Kemper makes it for trimming pour hole waste, removing mould marks, and carving greenware.
