COR is the lighter of Kemper's two cut out tools, with a thin steel blade for thin-walled and delicate work. The blade is double-edged, which means a reverse cut works as well as the forward one - you can steady the tool and draw it back rather than lifting and repositioning, and control over a thin wall is largely about not lifting. For heavy, thick-walled clay the COH is the one to reach for instead; it has a heavier triangular blade built for that work.
