A3R is one of Kemper's lace tools, and it has an end for each half of the job. One end is a heavy blunt needle for lifting and placing the lace - blunt, because a sharp point would go through it. A3N is the same tool with a fine, sharp needle. The other is a teardrop-shaped foot, flat on the bottom, for pressing the lace into place once it sits where you want it. 171 mm (6 3/4 in) overall. It works with any clay or modelling material, and the decorative uses run well past lace once you have one in your hand.
