Spectrum's 900 series is a low fire glaze with the look of stoneware, and the colours can be layered over one another for more effects. The surface is a glossy semi-transparent two-tone. Three coats on white bisque give the full colour. Spectrum rates the series cone 06 to 04, 1015 to 1060°C, with cone 05 the recommended firing. Do not use it on the same piece as a 700 series glaze, because the two expand at different rates and the combination can crack. Lead-free.
