C-11 Mixing Clear Celadon Gloss Glaze
Originally formulated to dilute the colour of Celadon series glazes, Mixing Clear can be used as a stand-alone clear glaze. Mixing Clear is a stiff gloss zinc-free glaze that works well with most underglazes.

V-315 Peach, V-316 Light Pink and V-323 Salmon underglazes can look muted under it. Celadon is a cone 5/6 line of translucent gloss glazes made in the spirit of the ancient celadons. The colour is pale where the glaze is thin and darker where it pools in a carved line, a stamp or a throwing ring, so it shows best on textured work. Because the glazes are transparent, the clay body underneath shows through and shifts the colour. The colours can be mixed with each other for a custom palette, and the line is made for layering. Apply 3 to 4 brush coats over cone 04 bisque and fire at medium speed in oxidation to cone 5 or 6, 1186 to 1222°C. Under a Potter's Choice glaze use 3 coats over 3. The line is food safe.
