C-10 Snow Celadon Gloss Glaze

Celadon is a cone 5/6 line of translucent gloss glazes made in the spirit of the ancient celadons. The colour is pale where the glaze is thin and darker where it pools in a carved line, a stamp or a throwing ring, so it shows best on textured work. The colours can be mixed with each other for a custom palette, and the line is made for layering. Apply 3 to 4 brush coats over cone 04 bisque and fire at medium speed in oxidation to cone 5 or 6, 1186 to 1222°C. Under a Potter's Choice glaze use 3 coats over 3. The line is food safe. Snow fires opaque, so the clay body underneath does not show through.
