CO-24 Blue Starlight Cosmos Crystalline Glaze

Apply 4 coats over cone 04 bisque. A normal medium-speed firing is enough and no special cooling is needed, though a slow cool grows larger crystals. Cosmos glazes run, so stop the glaze about 13 mm (1/2 in) above the foot, fire the piece on a drip tray or soft bricks, and leave the inside or back of the form unglazed. AMACO rates the line food safe but does not recommend it for food surfaces because the glaze is not durable enough. Fire a test tile with each new batch.
