Spectrum's 250 series is a cone 06/04 low fire opaque glaze with a satin surface. Two to three brush coats give solid coverage. It is a stiff glaze that moves very little in the firing, so an even application matters more than it would with a gloss. It also responds to temperature, and the hotter it is fired within the range the smoother and glossier the surface comes out. Spectrum rates the series cone 06 to 04, 1015 to 1060°C. Lead-free and AP non-toxic. Dinnerware safe.
