Running Hot Chowder Stoneware Glaze

Spectrum's 1100 series is a cone 4/6 stoneware glaze, and this colour is reactive. It is made to move and change in the firing instead of laying down one flat colour, so the result depends on the temperature, how thickly it goes on and the clay underneath, and the same jar can look quite different on a different body. It is the most fluid colour in the line and will run on a vertical surface. Three brush coats give the full colour. A reduction firing gives a different result from an electric kiln. Lead-free. Spectrum does not rate it non-toxic in the liquid state.
